Nominations Open for November Prowers County School Board Elections

To be qualified, a candidate must have been a registered elector and a resident of the school district for at least twelve consecutive months before the election, and a resident of the director district which will be represented, with the exception of Holly RE-3 and Wiley RE-13Jt, which have member-at-large. A person is ineligible to run for school director if he or she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.
DEADLINE TO RETURN NOMINATION PETITIONS: FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, 2011
Granada RE-1 District: Director Offices to be Voted On:
Director District B, D and F
Nomination Petitions may be obtained at the Granada School District Office, Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm, beginning August 3, 2011
Holly RE-3 District: Offices to be Voted On:
Two (2) Member-at-large Seats. Nomination petitions may be obtained at the Holly School District Office, Anna Bryce Building, Monday-Thursday, 8am-3pm, beginning August 3, 2011.
Lamar RE-2 District: Director Districts to be Voted On:
Director District B, C, D and F
Nomination Petitions may be obtained at the Lamar School District Alfred R. Young Administration Building, 210 West Pearl, Monday-Friday, 7:30am – 4pm, beginning August 3, 2011.
Wiley RE-13JT District: Offices to be Voted On:
Three (3) Member-at-Large Seats.
Nomination petitions may be obtained at Wiley School District Office, 510 Ward Street, Monday-Thursday, 9am – 12pm, 1pm-3pm, beginning August 3, 2011.
