Ruth J. Northrup -/- May 25, 1923 – July 9, 2011

A Celebration of Life for longtime Lamar resident, Ruth J. Northrup will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Lamar United Methodist Church with Reverend Ramon Robledo officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Ruth will be held from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the Peacock Family Chapel.   Mrs. Northrup was born May 25, 1923 at Lamar, Colorado to Hayes and Beulah (Stream) Williams and departed this life on July 9, 2011 at her home in Lamar.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Northrup on June 26, 2009, parents, her grandson, James Robert Northrup and her sister, Helen McMillen.
Ruth is survived by her sons; David R. (Cheryl) Northrup of Lamar, Dr. Scott H. (Chris) Northrup of Cookeville, Tennessee, and Dr. John E. Northrup of Palo Alto, California; grandchildren, Nathan (Giovanna) Northrup of Wuppertal, Germany, Graham (Stephanie) Northrup of Aspen, Colorado, Carey (Megan) Northrup of Friendswood, Texas, Camella (Jeff) Iund of South Jordan, Utah, Jonathan (Maria) Northrup of Provo, Utah and Kara (Danny) Pratt Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Giulianna, Lucas, Marco, Franco, Emily, Paige, Eva, Jacqueline, Halle, Fox and Ace Northrup and Dominic, Cameron and August Canete. Also surviving is her brother-in-law, Charles A. (Marilyn) Northrup of Greeley, Colorado and her sister-in-law, Marjorie Davis of Lamar as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
