Charles E. Mitchell – January 7, 1934 – July 19, 2011

        Funeral services for Hasty, Colorado resident Charles E. Mitchell will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday July 23, 2011 at the Hasty Friends Church in Hasty, CO. Rev. Gary Pritchard will officiate and burial will follow in the Union Valley Cemetery at Hasty, CO.

Mr. Mitchell was born on January 7, 1934 at Cassody, KS. to Herman Mitchell and Lottie Sutton-Mitchell and departed this life on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, CO. at the age of 77.

Visitation for Charles will be held from 1:00 P.M. to7:00 P.M. Friday July 22, 2011 and from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon on Saturday at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, CO.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his father Herman E. Mitchell of Belle Plaine, KS.; by his mother Lottie B. Mitchell of Belleville,  KS.; by a great grandchild Treighton Mitchell of Salina, KS.; by two brothers Thomas Mitchell of Wichita, KS. and Glen Mitchell, also of Wichita, KS.; and by two sisters, Wanda Jacobs of Gilette, WY. and Barbara Jo Young of Belleville, KS..

He is survived by his wife Mary M. Mitchell of Hasty, CO.; by three children Mike Mitchell of Lamar, CO. , Guy (Sharon Bonewell) Mitchell of Wichita, KS., and Debra (David) Crossland of Holly, CO.; by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren ; one sister Betty Pierce of Valley Center, KS.; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
