A funeral service for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident, Anna Lee Eddy, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday July 25, 2011 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar. Pastor Rick Beard with The Living Covenant Ministries will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Visitation for Mrs. Eddy will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday July 24, 2011 and prior to the service on Monday at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Anna Lee Eddy was born on October 15, 1924 in Bel, Louisiana to Calvin O. Alexander and Pencie Etta (Smith) Alexander and departed this life on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at her home in Lamar at the age of 86.
Mrs. Eddy was preceded in death by her parents; by her first husband-Clairborne Thibodeaux; by her second husband-Charles Lee Eddy; by one grandson-Jason R. Nichols; and by her siblings-Elmer Alexander; Ella Dunahue; Edna Mae Dunahoo; and two infant siblings-Aaron and Rosie.
Anna Lee Eddy is survived by three children-Jessie (Jean) Eddy of Parma, ID; Zee (John) Nichols of Flagler, CO; and Vee (Bill) Newman of Guymon, OK; by six grandchildren-Randy Eddy; Greg (Tara) Eddy; Lance (Adele) Nichols; Mike (Melissa) Nichols; Chad (Susan) Newman; Nikki (Chris) Stork; by thirteen great grandchildren; and by one brother Titus (Mable) Alexander of Jennings, Louisiana; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Hospice Respite Care Program either directly or through the funeral home office.
