Tickets for the fast approaching Sand and Sage Round-Up Concert are now available for sale online. Tickets can be purchased at a reduced price by purchasing them prior to the night of the show. The Josh Abbott Band is a Texas country group originating in Lubbock, Texas returning to Colorado, a homecoming for band member Preston Wait formerly of Campo. The band founded in 2006 has quickly risen to the top of the Texas country music scene and has opened for national acts such as Willie Nelson, Dierks Bentley, Eli Young Band, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church and many more. JAB’s 2015 EP, Tuesday Night, out on Atlantic Records, follows the band’s independent success which earned sales of more than 1,750,000 albums and 1.4M singles. Tickets can be purchased at

PRCAPre-sale tickets for the concert and this year’s PRCA rodeo and mouthwatering BBQ will go on sale starting July 27th and continue until July 31st at the Lamar Senior Center from 4pm-7pm. Men and Women of the professional rodeo world will come into Lamar for two performances on Friday, August 7th and Saturday, August 8th. Both nights of action start off with mouthwatering BBQ with rodeo action to follow. Returning to the Sand and Sage is the Ranch Bronc Ride to be held during both performances.  Local contestants are encouraged to enter.   Entries will be limited to 8 contestants each night of the rodeo and $2000 added money will be up for grabs. Interested riders should contact Logan Dorenkamp at 688-1222 to enter. Saturday night’s rodeo will feature “Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night” in honor of those battling cancer as well as those celebrating survivors.   Everyone in attendance is encouraged to wear pink.
