Faull Makes Endorsements for Sheriff

 Prowers Sheriff Badge

Media Release – January 22, 2014

I have been asked by numerous people who I am going to endorse for Sheriff in the 2014 election.

I have given this topic a lot of thought.  Over the past 15 years I have worked hard to make the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office a professional and respected law enforcement agency that represents the citizens of this county.  I believe that I have accomplished that task.  It is my desire that these accomplishments be carried forward and improved upon by the next elected Sheriff.  I understand that the next Sheriff will run and operate the Sheriff’s Office as he thinks best.  There is a standard that has been set by the employees of the Sheriff’s Office that I would like to see continue.  To do that we need a person who is trustworthy, has integrity and the knowledge and ability to carry on that standard.  The Sheriff has to be able to manage 30 people, manage a two million dollar budget, run a 57 bed jail, and work with other elected and appointed officials.  Remember, the Sheriff is the only law enforcement official that the people have a direct say in who will hold that position.  Every other law enforcement officer is appointed.

The Sheriff in today’s world is not just a law enforcement officer but also a manager who operates in a political world that requires him to be able to work with many diverse individuals and groups.  There is much more to being a modern day Sheriff than in the past.  The Sheriff not only has to enforce the law, he must also protect the constitutional rights of our citizens.

Looking at the list of candidates for Sheriff, I see only two who have the ability, experience, knowledge, and integrity to fulfill the requirements to be Sheriff.  These two are Ron Trowbridge and Sam Zordel.  Either of these men have the skill, ability, experience, knowledge, and integrity to be the Sheriff of Prowers County.  I feel privileged to work with these men and know that they will uphold the traditions of the Office of Sheriff.  I ask that you consider one of these two men when you make your decision on who will represent you as the Sheriff of Prowers County.
