Hospice Annual “Wall of Honor” Dedication Ceremony

Sunday, October 21, 2013, the Lamar Area Hospice held an unveiling party for their Memorial Tiles.  The Prowers Journal was in attendance for the dedication.

“It is truly an honor for us to welcome you to the first annual dedication ceremony to officially unveil the newly inscribed tiles on our “wall of honor”.  This Weltha Plummer Memorial Patio and Garden is a perfect setting for our wall of honor. There’s an inviting, but peaceful feel to the room which makes it a special place for special events, reflection or just a quiet moment away from the sometimes difficult work of hospice.

This wall allows us to validate and evaluate people in our lives; people we have loved and lost or people who have made a difference. It provides us a place where they will always be honored and remembered. The patio garden will serve and benefit the community for ages and that is a fitting tribute to all who are honored here.”

You can honor a loved one or commemorate a life with a gift of $200. The tile will be laser- engraved with the name of your loved one and placed on the “Wall of Honor” in the patio garden. Through your generosity, the memory of you loved one will live on and the work of Lamar Area Hospice will thrive. Every October we will place the newly inscribed tiles on the wall and host a dedication ceremony. To order your tile, please call the Hospice office at 336-2100.
